Reversible Double Ambrotype Pin/Pendant, c.1870

An unusual piece of ambrotype jewelry with a man on one side and two children on the other. Photographs of loved ones were often worn as jewelry during the Victorian Era. Images were set in pendants, cufflinks, and brooches. This piece is distinct as it is reversible with an image on either side and can be worn as a brooch or a pendant.
